Palermo
Tuesday we went down to the port again to relax. On the way we got gelato. They place we went to had these waffle things they put in all of their cups. I thought I told him I didn't I want one, but obviously not. As he was reaching for it, we all shouted NO! The guy looked so scared and I felt really bad.
Wednesday we finally got to do things at clinical. I was following a patient care coordinator. I assumed they were like a charge nurse, but they are more in charge of making sure all of the nurse's duties get completed. She did a lot of paperwork, but she also did a lot of hands on patient care.
After clinical, we walked down to the Cathedral of Palermo to go inside. We got a ticket to go into the treasury, the royal tombs, the crypt, and then go onto the roof. The church is dedicated to Saint Rosalina. The story goes that back when the black plague was in Sicily, someone had a dream to gather the bones of Rosalina from the top of Montepelligrino. When her bones were brought down, the city was cured.
We went to lunch for the first time at the Country Bar. This is the place that our professor told us she normally goes to because it is pretty good and it is very cheap. However, she didn't call it the Country Bar, she will not give up the fact that it is not called the Country Boy. Even the employees at restaurant continue to correct her every time she said Country Boy.
