Palermo
Arriving in Palermo was amazing. The airport is right on the coast, so the water is directly below you as you are landing. While we were making our descent, I was able to see some fish in the water because it was so blue and clear.

We walked up to the outdoor market, where we lost our professor. She said she couldn't see us so she just decided to leave without searching for us at all. I bought some mozzarella di bufala. It is probably the most delicious mozzarella I have ever had.

Bright and early on Sunday at ten a.m. we decided to be good little Catholics and go to church. We got some nasty looks from they gypsies outside when we didn't pay attention to them as we were walking inside. Not exactly sure why though because no one else acknowledged them either.

Yesterday we went to Cefalu. This is exactly what you would expect from a Mediterranean city. It was absolutely gorgeous!
We wish we had a nicer day to spend there, but we definitely plan on coming back. We went to this fantastic little place called Le Petit Tonneau. Lucia gave us a fantastic wine tasting. It was really just three very generous glasses of wine. Pretty awesome to say my first wine tasting was in Sicily.

Because it was windy and a little rainy, our professor decided to use her bath towel as a blanket. Not too bad, but she kept blowing her nose in it and then offering it to us in case we were cold. No thank you!
